It's a square flattened tamale with chicken and salsa in the center wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed to perfection I never heard of these until a year ago they are absolutely out of this world -

(January 14, 2019, 1:13 am)I love their tamales so much they never even make it home. The masa is delicious and there's lots of fillings. The tamales wrapped in banana leaves are my favorite but everything I've had from this place was just awesome. Definitely a south side gem!

(November 20, 2018, 3:55 pm)they have three places on 63rd, on kedzie and 53rd. and I'm not sure where the other one is but I like their tamales they have great food great place for tamales you can order ahead of time and place Large orders for the holidays!!!

(November 4, 2018, 8:36 pm)This place has the besttt tamales down south of Chicago! If you want awesome tamales this is your place. Friendly staff. Not vegan friendly, just saying. No parking but the food is worth it.
