We had wonderful night, and Music was great. Johnny the best and Omar. Thanks you for help us to celebrate our daughter birthday.
Excellent location for your family.
Fantastic experience! Music and atmosphere are out of this world. Buddy puts on an amazing show as do all the other talents. The food is great and the chocolate cake is the best I've ever had. Even if you're not able to see a show, go for the food and the environment, it's worth a visit for anyone who lives near the city or visiting from somewhere else.
Visited this weekend to see Buddy Guy perform. As expected he put on an excellent show. The bartenders and wait staff were friendly and professional but I can't say the same thing about the security staff. During Buddy's performance I observed people taking photos with cameras and cellphones so I thought I would snap a quick photo. As soon as I snapped the photo a security staff member confronted me by yelling and trying to stare me down. I wasn't aware photos weren't being permitted and all he had to do was tell me without being aggressive. But as the show progressed I observed that the no photo policy was being selectively enforced as I witnessed people seated at the tables taking photos without being confronted by security staff while patrons in the standing room only areas were consistently confronted and chastised. As a middle aged man who was out to hear some Blues by a legendary artist - spending my hard earned money on tickets, food, and drinks - the last thing I want to deal with is unprofessional and rude security staff. Minus one star for rude and unprofessional security staff.
An Amazing Experience!
Classic blues club, featuring exceptional live music in a cozy atmosphere with authentic Cajun fare. Ample memorabilia and nostalgia from Buddy Guy's multiple Grammy winning career. If you can visit in January, when Buddy Guy performs, don't hesitate; you are in for a truly memorable event. Central downtown location is a plus too.
EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME!! We saw Buddy Guy and Bobby Rush tonight. Earlier we saw Eddie Taylor, Jr. and Harmonica Hinds! The staff was really good. The food was even better! I have been there for dinner, but not a show. This was our first time seeing Buddy Guy live! AWESOME! Can't wait to see him again! ????
