I found this place when I was looking for a brick oven pizzeria and it did not disappoint. The chef makes an authentic Neapolitan pizza. We ordered the Margherita and the Salsiccia e Friarielli which is a very rare find.
The entire menu is something that you could find if you came to Italy and ate in a restaurant. Very tipical but curated at the same time.
The pastiera ( from their dessert list) is another gem, from the Neapolitan tradition that is very hard to find in USA and deserves a try ( unless you don't like ricotta).
They also have the Menabrea beer which I used to drink in Italy and I was never able to find here before.
Did not like the Mascarpone cream, but other than that it was a perfect experience.
Incredible good food!!! Couldn't wait to come back all the way from Switzerland to eat here again. For sure my favorite Italian place with real Italian taste...
Authentic Neapolitan style pizza. Always great service. One of the best Neapolitan pizzas in Chicago, Hands Down!
The food here was great. Real authentic Italian food. It tasted absolutely wonderful, and was one of the best pizza places I have been too. However. The woman who is waiting on us was terrible. She couldn't seem to figure out why I wanted a second glass of water, and gave me a real confused look. She was terrible at waiting the table and paid absolutely no attention to us unless we flagged her down. It took her forever just to clear the table and get our bill, at least 10 minutes after we had finished. There were three customers in the building at the time so it wasn't busy at all.
The food at this restaurant was amazing! We ordered zucchini blossoms and the caprese salad for an appetizer. Both were delicious but the zucchini blossoms were outstanding. The pizza was also excellent and very much like what I remember eating in Naples. The service was good, but one of the staff who waited on us was new and things took a longer time than expected. We were not in a hurry and they were super nice about everything. Overall, a terrific experience.
