Great home cook Mexican inspired food. Tortas are large enough to share. The tacos from the dinner plate are filled with ample meat to satisfied. Dinning in Mom's Old Recipe is both cozy and delightful. Parking is on the street. They serve takeout. The price is a little more then the average Mexican restaurant, but this isn't your average Mexican food. It's fresher, plentiful, and delicious.
The best Mexican food we had in a long time. My husband said that he enjoyed eating authentic Mexican food at this restaurant. Service was amazing ???? we will be back.
We went for a birthday celebration, I went ahead and called to reserve a table, as soon as we entered we were greeted and seated at our table. The servers were extremely nice and the food was amazing, when eating dessert they accommodated with a festive birthday music track and everyone joining in and being apart of the celebration. Glad that we went and tried out the place, it was an amazing experience with fantastic food. Highly recommended!!
I learned about Mom's old recipe Mexican restaurant while watching the TV show Chicago's best, " The best Mexican restaurant in Chicago". We picked this restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday. the building doesn't look big or fancy from the outside until you walk in. The inside looks nice and clean, well lit, not too bright nor dim the lights are soft to the eyes. The staffs are family friendly, and they make you feel like you're part of the family. The foods are delicious and they're serving big portions good for two people. I have a big appetite and just finished working out from the gym so it's okay. The price is Affordable, and not expensive. they have a bar located in the back but you can order your drinks from your table. The cool part is when they handed out sombreros big and small, and we started singing Happy Birthday in Spanish. Free parking.
