I have ordered from this place on a few occasions. So far everything that I have tried, I have liked. I find their food to be more flavorful than my regular go to Chinese place. My favorite thing is the spicy beef fried rice. Yummy!
My 4 star rating is based solely on the price as it is kind of pricey BUT every time that I have ordered, the portions have been big. As you can see in the pictures, I had a nice bowl of rice and barely made a dent in the container as it was over stuffed and the way that it was stapled shows that lol. I’m always up for something different in the neighborhood.
I’ve been to this place twice since they first opened. I love their orange chicken, chop suey, and overall their rice dishes are amazing. I love the Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine that they bring to Midway area.
I want to start this off by stating that this isn't a normal Chinese place. I honestly expected to walk in and see Chinese employees, but instead I walked in and the guy sitting down was speaking Spanish. They even sell hot Cheetos and "Mexican bingo". Not exactly a good sign for a Chinese Restuarant.
Ordered the pepper steak lunch special, which was $10 (quite steep for a lunch special), and it was okay. Decent flavor, but the food mostly consisted of rice. Two bites of my food had something very hard, and it hurt my teeth when biting into it. I'm not sure what exactly it was, but that's never a good sign.
I loved the place that was here before it had to close down, and I want to like this place since I love Chinese food and it's close to home, but so far, it's a big no. I'll try something else in the future and maybe my opinion will change.
