For airport food Frontera was pretty good. My group got a chorizo torta and a pepito torta. They were both really good and if you go there I would recommend getting one of those. It is only 3 stars because it is airport food so it isn’t amazing but was better than McDonalds. Higher quality means higher prices around $11-$13 but I would say it is worth it.
I got the pepito. $14.50 with the tax. It’s not bad for airport food. It’s not the best sandwich, but filling. The meat could use some seasoning, it was bland. The sauce gives it a bit of a kick, which was nice.
The guacamole was very salty, and so was the one employee who wouldn't let me eat at the table after I paid $10 for it. You're closing now? How about you don't make a big deal out of it for five minutes? Thaaaannks.
The girl who took my order was nice though. I also didn't get any napkins. Good thing I got this enormous paper bag that I could use in place of a napkin.
Delicious gourmet sandwiches and drinks. The guacamole and salsa are outrageously good. And get a margarita to wash it down. It would be five stars except for the airport prices being a bit steep.
I love this place. Delicious sandwiches. Takes time though, usually about 20 minutes. Everything I've had is great. My favorite is the cochinita. I always go here when I got through O'Hare.
