El Tarasco

Delicious food and great service. My friend raved about their chorizo and the flautas were on par.

The 5 dishes I have tried have all been excellent but the “carne brava” is my favorite. The margaritas and Paloma drinks are my favorite too. Great service. Definitely recommend visiting El Tarasco!

The most elaborate, great tasting Mexican food menu on the southwest side of Chicago. I’ve had their seafood, tacos, gorditas, steak dinner, and two of their ‘caldos’. This place is family owned and even has a banquet hall and will cater any size event. I just finished sharing a ‘molcajeteada’ with my wife; which included grilled cactus, grilled chicken and steak (we added shrimp for good measure), and it was one of the most satisfying meals I’ve ever had in my life. You will not be disappointed. By the way, they have very generous $3.99 breakfast plates.

Great seafood dishes with traditional classic dishes, but they have a nice section for vegetarians. Its not the typical rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes type of veggies. They offer tofu and other items that works well for vegans!

I've been here multiple times with both friend's and family and they always walk out with a happy full tummy. The food here is so delicious and they can always work with you about how spicy you want your food. The waitresses/waiters are super attentive and always happy, even when they're busy. My family and I ate here yesterday and they were very busy setting up to-go orders but they still perfectly managed to get all of our orders correct and continued checking in on us in a timely manner.
