Pleasantly surprised with this tucked away spot. Heard about them from Chicago's Best and I agree. Hands down one of the best burritos I've had in a long time! Had A Man Called William burrito with fresh guacamole and chips. Everything was delicious. Look forward to returning ????????
Havent been in over a year and man it has gone downhill the steak used to be the highlight of my visit but tonight's burrito was chewy, lacking of flavor, and just disappointing. For $12 after tax I could have gotten a much better meal elsewhere. Sad I used to love Carbon.
Hands down the best burrito in the city.
I’m always in the mood to try a new Mexican spot, but I always find myself coming back to Carbon because their burritos are so on point.
The chicken/steak fajita burrito and the Mother Clucker are both so great I could eat them every day. It’s nothing fancy, but the flavors are unmatched.
Ordered the Tequila-Lime chicken tacos with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. They were excellent! The chicken was tender, the salsa was great, and the tomatoes fresh. Definitely going back there!
We used Carbon catering for our wedding rehearsal dinner, and it was a huge success. I ordered dinner for 40 about 5 weeks before the event. There were many options to personalize the meal, to get exactly when we wanted.
I opted for the “Classic Catering” option with steak, chicken, and fajita veggies. It came with flour and corn tortillas, onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, flour and corn tortilla chips, several kinds of salsa, and MORE! We also ordered guacamole, which was a huge hit! I ordered the exact number of servings for the number of people at the event, and I had 1.5 trays of meat and TONS of toppings left over (best lunches EVER). Plan more than one 6 ft table to serve the food.
Every single guest RAVED about the food - everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. I had guests who were vegetarian, vegan, and steak-lovers, and every single one of them LOVED the options that Carbon provided us.
The only thing that didn’t go off perfectly was the paper plates- we ran out of plates after everyone had their first plate. Especially since there were chips/salsa/guacamole, we could have used more plates. It was a minor inconvenience, and I think I was the only one who noticed.
