Good food, good service, good cocktails. As a semi regular visitor to the a.a. my advice is.... Don't expect.to be able to just slide on in here to eat while visiting in the art institute.... reservations are pretty importamt
Most tables are filled all the time, esp. In weekends.
Nice atmosphere, fairly inattentive service and mixed marks on food. Some of the items we had such as the duck and the flat bread were excellent with complimentary flavors which brought out the best in the ingredients. However one of the mains with lamb and pasta had an overpowering acidic sauce that drowned out any flavors the lambs had. Overall still a good experience and quite reasonably priced for what and where it is.
Came here for restaurant week. The cauliflower soup, ink squid pasta, and toffee cake was fantastic. Also recommend the cheese and olives. The restaurant has great view of the Art Institute. Modern and classic ambience.
This is my wife's favorite lunch spot. Even if you aren't enjoying a day at the Art Institute, it is worth a stop. The Fried Cauliflower dish I ate was amazing. Don't go her if you're rushed. Come and relax and soak it in.
I really had fun at this place, the food is amazing, plus the restrooms were not bad for public. It was a little cold inside, so that was not the most enjoyable. The vibe is good. I will most definitely think about going back once again if I get the opportunity. Me as well as my friend got the combo as well as we were not disappointed. My one idea is to maintain the cool exterior. Laters!
