Currently a wonderland for St. Paddy. Good music ample room to chill and dance where you are. Staff is responsive and diverse. The bartenders are gorgeous! And about their service. Can’t give full stars because some lightweight puked all over the bar and back of the register and it took a barback over 15 minutes to come clean it up.
This is a bar that has some great aspects, and some really bad ones. Large crowds, loud music, at least it ain’t country, and expensive food and drinks. However, the bathrooms are usually clean, before, during and after Cubs/-which is no small miracle. They decorate the place seasonally and font spare an expense, especially during Xmas. There are a lot of TVs, and a great sound system. Great views of Wrigley.
I feel extremely happy to say that to the decorations far surpassed what we were looking to enjoy. There was something and to view every time you turned around! From ornaments to flying Santas and even disco
The fact that the establishment changes their entire bar to something this elaborate says something about the staff and management. It's an extreme undertaking!
While the photo opportunities and all of the other excitement are amazing there was and extremely long wait time to be served. I understand that it is the holidays and there's a ton of people coming in but all we ordered was one hot chocolate and it took 45 minutes to get served. Then we couldn't get our check for another 20. If they had a better system to giving food in-and-out it would be better. It we saw our hot chocolate sitting in the window for at least 15 minutes before it was brought over to us. There weren't any apologies or any communication from our server at all. I understand it has to be hard to work at the holidays in a service based industry I've done it before periods everyone was just so remarkably disengaged with everyone it was just a little unfortunate.
Overall we had an incredible time! My son was super happy to get the colossal hot chocolate. We even shared it with tables around us and the people that came to sit in our table when we were leaving!
The XMAS pop-up here is amazing! Well worth the visit. Plenty of photo-op spaces. They had XMaS movies playing and roving performers which made the experience all that much fun. Drinks and food were good too. I had the Grinch cocktail and the holiday nachos with chicken. Nachos were surprisingly good. My only grip is there are WAY too many kids. I have kids but a bar atmosphere is not place for them. I would suggest they have the kids cut-off time earlier and/or do adults only areas.
Good bar in that area. If you want to get away from the "country scene" of some of the other bars in Wrigley, D&D is great option. Cool view of the courtyard from upstairs balcony, and the ground floor is nice too. Decent drink options as well.
