Great food and service. You get a huge amount of food at great prices. Highly recommend
Eaten there many times and never disappointed. This Chicago staple serves the best matzoh brei any time of year, has the best bagels, piles the corned beef a mile high on rye bread, and has the greatest giant bowl of mishmash soup you’ve ever tasted. The pickles are also to die for. On your way out, pick up a black and white cookie, or a smiley face cookie for the kids.
This deli is excellent. You can never go wrong with a cup of Matza Ball Soup and a half sandwich of corn beef or pastrami. I hear they offer salads but I've NEVER seen someone order one.
Great place to take a large group because of the amble seating.
The place was packed, but the front-end staff was friendly and good-humored as they shuffled people around and made room for everyone. We waited about 20 minutes for a table to accommodate our group of seven. Our waitress was efficient and helpful. The food was just as we'd remembered from the old days at Kedzie and Lawrence: ample portions cooked to perfection, from the matzo ball the size of your head to the pastrami, tender and well-seasoned. An added bonus was the parking lot in the back. Worth the trip.
I love The Bagel! I work a few doors down and frequent them for breakfast. The staff is SO friendly and they’re very quick to get your order filled. Highly recommend! The wheat bagel is delicious:)
