I think the last time I was here, they (everyone, not just Chipotle) was having a lettuce shortage due to salmonella or listeria warning. I had not heard about it yet, because I was busy all week with a remodeling project, and hadn't had a life of my own. But I came in like normal and ordered 3 meals for 3 hungry people. I got to the end and noticed that there were no lettuce. When I tried to ask the server, "how long do I have to wait for lettuce ( thinking that they were just out until a worker prepared a new batch)". The server just said, "we're not offering salad". Being hangry as I was, I left with a pretty bad experience, because I didn't about the lettuce warning. I guess all 3 of us had a bad experience that day.
I think they should have communicated better about why salad is not offered BEFORE I started ordering, instead of just assuming that everyone is in the loop about recalls.
Yes, there may have been signs posted, but I was in that position that day where signs have no impact.

Never had Chipotle until my boyfriend made me try it. I usually prefer going to mom and pop mexican places where it's more authentic and not fast food. I got the burrito bowl for the first time. It was pretty good, decent size portion. Only thing I didn't like was that they charge you extra for guacamole where other places already add in guacamole for no extra charge. Not a bad place. Could be better. At least I tried it.
