Over Easy Café

Recently named one of the top ten best breakfast by Best Things IL. I've known this for a couple years. I tend to order from the weekly specials, since I don't make it in often enough. Chef Jon is always creating a new dish or bringing back a crowd favorite. They encourage the quick turnover on their tables but the weekends can still include a wait. It's worth it! The servers and hosts were so pleasant and attentive. My coffee mug and water glass were truly bottomless. The food was delicious and the cane out super quickly. They are a well oiled machine. Will definitely come again. While lines are said to be long, if you come on the earlier side, between 9:30 and 10:30 its only about a 20/25 min. wait.

Timely service! Went during peak brunch hours and only had to wait 10 minutes. Their online wait app was efficient and easy to navigate. For brunch i got the Brandade Benedict and it was delicious! Can't wait to return

Free coffee for the waiting line, and it was proper coffee. I was there with a companion and both of our meals were delicious. Most exceptional was the service. Everyone serving us was cheerful, competent, and full of character. Made an already pleasant experience that much more special.

Over Easy is not so hidden anymore gem with a menu so inviting, I could eat there every day for a month and not get bored. Breakfasts are wonderfully creative. Any of their house specials is exceptional, plus they have a list of weekly specials to add to the awesome mix. I know I sound like a commercial for this place, but many other people love it as well. On weekend mornings the line stretches outside, so best to plan a weekday meal.
Oh, and BTW, the service is extraordinary: expect a greeting when you walk in the door, very friendly service, and quick turnaround from the kitchen. Enjoy!.
