Taco El Jalisciense

This place gave meaning to my afternoon. Best tacos I've had in the city to date, no contest; and fresh, crunchy tortilla chips don't hurt the experience, either. I'll be back tomorrow, if I can.

This is a great little taco place; everything I get there is always delicious. My favorite is the chorizo taco, and the ground beef is my second favorite, but you really can't go wrong. The different meats are all so flavorful-- I'm not sure if the seasonings are typical of Jalisciensen cuisine or unique to the restaurant, but I love the taste. Give them a try!

This little gem can be hard to find because its really small but if you do find this place on the eastern corner of grand and Chicago ave you MUST GET YOUR TACOS HERE. I've eaten at every Mexican restaurant in the area and this is the BEST. most places steak is dry and burnt but this place has their steak sitting in a bowl of juice that ABSOLUTELY makes a big difference in taste and texture. Also recommend the quesadillas. GO AND ENJOY!!!!

Good food great service. My favorite is the beef burrito that has potatoes and red peppers (not hot). If you order out you get chips with red (hot) and green mild sauce. Small dinning area and food is slightly over priced. If you order avocado don't expect to alot plus it's extra just like any other taco joint. Enjoy.
