    We love Himmels as well as Carol. We were just there for her Superbowl party and buffet- yum. A restaurant that's treats you like family!

    The food was unbelievably good. I had the schnitzel and was amazed. Portions for price are veryyy fair. Service quality is good, very friendly people. Lighting was spot on and music was at the right volume to enjoy while still having a conversation. This is the best german resteraunt I've been to in Chicago.

    Delicious old school German food. And the wood pizza oven still turns out tasty options for those days when you're not into Spatzle. Although I can't imagine that happening.

    We had a great experience tonight. True German experience - good food, good music and dancing, great vibe. Regret not going here before.

    Seems to have two types of clientele. 20-something's trying to get drunk at the bar and 40+'s coming for the authentic food. Majority of the staff seems younger then either crowd and out of their element. Nonetheless, service is decently good. Beer and pretzel bread are great.
