Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

Had Cesear salad and deep dish specialty sausage pizza. Both were well prepared. As promised, pizza arrived in 35 minutes - and it was worth the wait. Crust was crisp and the sausage mild but tasty. Tomato sauce had chunks of tomato. Service was very good.

Delicious deep dish pizza! I was visiting Chicago for work and ordered ahead from the airport. Once I finally got to the restaurant, I decided to just eat it there, even though it was close to midnight. The host was kind enough to warm it up for me and give me a table to eat at. So good, look forward to trying it again!

This restaurant came highly recommended, but I feel like it fell a little short. Felt very much like a big chain. Food was alright and decently priced. Had tried a few other places around the city and greatly preferred them. Dip trio was a decent starter, not great. Cheese deep dish was just alright and not all it was made out to be. Way thinner and crispier than I expected. It wasn't bad, just nothing to write home about.

While in Chicago we stopped by for some deep dish pizza. Our first experience. We had the Malnati Classic. It was delicious. A wonderful, crispy buttery crust (Not doughy, soggy or dense), a lot of cheese. A fair amount of sausage and a nice chunky tomato sauce. It takes about 30 minutes to come out but is well worth the wait. The waitress was very nice, informative and attentive. It was a nice overall experience. We will return.

The best Chicago style Deep Dish pizza by far! One of the originals! And the Gold Coast location delivers every time. It has a modern industrial, fun vibe about it, the service is good and the Chicago Classic is to die for! If you order a Caesar salad (which is amazing and one of my favorites) get the small! It is family style and it is still plenty for 2-3 people to share!
