Good old÷fashioned soul food cooking. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Whomever is doing the cooking in Pearl's certainly knows what Soul/Creole/Jamaica food should taste like. The Jambalaya, Jerk chicken, and Spinach was well seasoned; I did not have to use any salt, pepper, or hot sauce.I love the dining room! I will be back!
Probably the best restaurant for soul food on the south side. Service and food was great. It get so busy you may have to patiently wait for a table...Overall it was a great experience
Outstanding service. The portions were very good. I had the smothered chops with collards, and mac & cheese. I added an additional side of sweet potatoes ; and apple cobbler for desert. The meal was accompanied with a side of delicious corn bread. A bit pricey though and the greens a little gritty (need those extra rinses with some salt added and transfer those greens out of the dirt and grit to clean water and a little soap and rinse. Repeat until squeaky clean!!!) I was under the impression after speaking the owner who said and quote "We have owned this restaurant for the past 12 years". I was talking to an African American male at the time of my visit. He did get a little impatient; now I wonder, is it a Black owned restaurant??
