I love seafood,I myself am a cook and was under chef apprenticeship for a few years.This is my mother's favorite seafood place in chicago,and I can see why the food is good, prices competitive with other seafood restaurants of its likeness.I personally "liked" the food.I had a caldo de camaron, which was good but not the way I asked for,understandably when I went it seemed they were short on staff both kitchen and front ,so they did their best to deliver .I have been here before with my mother but again I liked the food ,nothing really to wow me or have me drive 30 mins to get to as I do when I go out with mother,she loves it however it's her favorite place to get her seafood fix.

Very good seafood and bring your own beer is always a good quality in a restaurant. Only con would be that it's really small and every time someone opens the door you feel the windchill from outside.

A great little spot. Possibly the best part is they give you a little cup of spicy soup when you come in, which is much appreciated in the winter cold.

Tasty food, large portions, reasonable prices with a great service. They welcome you with a small and really good caldo de camaron. A regular feeling as far decoration or ambience but feels comfortable, with a jukebox that you can play your favorite music even from your phone. BYOB but bottles are not allowed, only cans policy, however we brought a 12 pack of beer bottles without a problem. Definitely I'll come back. NOTE: they charge/include gratuity for parties of 4 and more, but is good for the nice service.
