Chicago Cheese Steak

I found Chicago Cheese Steak on Yelp prior to leaving my internship site in the evening while searching for a restaurant in the area. I was drawn to pictures of the chicken sandwich which led me to visiting immediately.

Chicago Cheese Steak struck me as one of those places where you visit for a quick bite, or a place to eat during lunch. In my case, I had not eaten all day, so I made it an option before hitting the road towards my destination. Its menu consisted of sub style sandwiches (chicken parmeson, teriyaki, cheese steak, grilled shrimp, buffalo chicken), burgers, hot dogs, gyros, salads and desserts. Initially I took an interest in the chicken sandwich, but ordered the patty melt w/ fries during my visit. The fries were tasty! In fact, they were so tasty that they did not make it with me to my destination let alone out of the parking lot because I ate them before driving off, hehe. As for the patty melt there was nothing special about it but it was eatable! In other words, I have had better! Other than that I have no complaints about the timeline I received my food and the service I received.

At this restaurant, parking is slim due to the restaurant being shared with a couple other businesses. I would imagine that most of the customers pick-up takeout versus dining in, but that is just my opinion.

As for returning, I'm quite positive I will, but it will be occasionally. And besides I would love to try the gyro cheese burger, chicken teriyaki or Chicago chicken which are a few other items that caught my eye on the menu. Rating wise, I give Chicago Cheese Steak 3 1/2 stars.

My cheddar steak took 20 min to make, it was lukewarm at best. The fries were plentiful but salty. Prices were as expected. Also, more meat on the steak sandwiches would be best. Sandwich tasted good, just more bread than meat.

Best cheesesteak I’ve tasted!! The Nacho supreme was great too. I will make sure I stop there again when im in Chicago.
