Great small restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Very eclectic with great healthier choices. The portions are, unlike most restaurants, smaller so you are not tempted to eat more than you should.
Excellent service and food. This restaurant is one of those hidden gems in Chicago. It has a real Japanese authenticity to it with just a little touch of the Korean flavor with side dishes. Also, if you're a baseball fan you can see the pictures of the players or teams that's been there. The players even signed a few baseball as well for customers to see while you wait to get seated. In my opinion, this restaurant is definitely one of the best Japanese BBQ spots in Chicago.
Was a “foodie” recommendation and after trying it I can see why. We ate breakfast here and had the waffle of the day and eggs Benedict.
The eggs were perfect, the pork belly was crispy and delicious and the beef included on the waffles was delectable.
One of my favorite things about this restaurant is the artistic layout and styling of the space. I have included some pics of a couple interesting examples.
This place is on trend, friendly and very cute. The food was good and conceptually imaginative but fell short in a few areas. The bread for the avocado toast was wholegrain and cut too thick to be enjoyable, it acted like a brick anchor for the dish. The french toast flavors were AMAZING but the toast itself was very soggy in the middle. The fresh juice was a real highlight. Overall, a great place to brunch!
