Good drinks... but the prices are insane. Cocktails are $15-20 and aren't anything special -- the view isn't even worth the cost. If you're going to pay this much for drinks, I would recommend either Cindy's for about the same price drinks or spend a little more and go to the Aviary.
We made a reservation on Open Table and were immediately given a high top upon our arrival. We didn't like seating in the high top because it was close to the bar, which was very loud; we could barely hear each other. So, we approached our hostess and asked if we could change to another table. There was an empty table but was reserved for another group. The hostess said if the group didn't arrive in 10 mins, we could have the table, which we did at the end!! My friend and I were very thankful to that hostess for her understanding and help. While we enjoyed our food, we didn't like our drinks that much, but it was okay. We still loved our experience there.
It may only be 3 floors up, but the view from up there? It’s just amazing, it’s one of the best rooftops in Chicago, the food there is probably the best compared to the others, it is really spacious and is surrounded by plants and grass, it’s really chill, there’s a space just for private events too. This is a place worth checking out, whether your staying at Loews or not, don’t hesitate to come have a drink or too up here.
Enjoyable and relaxing rooftop bar. I suggest asking for the pops. They are pure alcohol and are equal to one drink. Definitely mom approved.
Three stars simply because the wait staff was great. The view is nice, but it's only on the third floor. The seating area it's beautiful with options for tables or couches. But the menu. What can I say? It's insulting. $8 for cans of Coors, Miller and Bud light. And $18 for a dish that said it was Wonder Bread. Seriously? We ordered the duck fat fries, but there was no reason to advertise that. The fries seemed to be from a bag and there was no flavor or crunch benefit from the "duck fat". Again, our server was great! And the other employees were really nice and attentive, but I'll never go here again. It's all hype with only an adequate view.
