Went here with friends because one of us wanted a meat pie. It was worth the trip. The shepherds pie was top notch and the others were stellar as well.
I had to try this place because I love mince meat pies. I was not disappointed at all! I wish there were more meat pie restaurants like this in the US.
I really like the original mince meat, and their chicken cheddar sausage roll is a must.
I only wish the food selection was a little bit larger.
Please open in Denver!
I am an Aussie that moved to Chicago two weeks ago. I haven’t had an Aussie pie since I was home last time which was over five years ago. I was a bit skeptical but purchased two - classic mince pie and the chicken curry,… These pies were sensational!
I was worried one wouldn’t be big enough but they are so huge and filling and tasty with perfect pastry… Awesome awesome awesome !
Aussie Aussie Aussie ! Oi Oi Oi.
I will be a regular.
I found this place while casually walking home from an appointment. I’ve never seen an Aussie mince pie shop in Chicago, so I knew I had to stop by! I was absolutely not disappointed. The woman running the store was kind, left a note on my pie, and showed me how it’s classically eaten. I really appreciate the kindness!! The pie itself was incredible. The puff pastry was flaky and delicious, packed with yummy mincemeat filling. I didn’t feel the interior of the restaurant matched the quality of the pies, the atmosphere was a little bit tacky IMO. Overall, I definitely will be visiting again, highly recommend!!
As an aussie born and brought up in Melbourne I should not say this... But the pies here are even better than what I had back home. Great job guys!
