Cocktails, food ,ambiance. It is hip but also completely comfertable. I belive the bar interior was ripped directly out of a bar in Wisconsin.
Good spot to catch a buzz on our cold dark nights
Ahh having lived almost a block away from this bar, how did I not come to Best Intentions earlier.
From outside it looks like a hole in the wall, everybody knows everybody, old people kinda spot .. you know what I mean.. (maybe that's why I always hesitated putting this in my 'bookmarked bar spots' ) but once inside it's actually pretty cool.
They also have a lovely patio towards the back, but it gets super crowded during good weather evenings so watch out for that .
Drinks were standard, prices weren't that of a typical hole in the wall, yet not that expensive. Bartender was really sweet.
Overall, I can easily see this becoming my go to bar. The location makes it super convenient too
You know how sometimes you go to a bar and a fight breaks out? This is a bar you'll go to and friendship will break out! Inside, it looks like a classic Chicago bar (I grew up on the North side of Chicago and this reminds me bars my grandfather took me to!). In summer, their patio is fantastic! They also serve really great food. They have a great beer selection and serve well prepared cocktails. One warning: there is no sign outside to indicate that great things are happening! You'll have to hunt for it!
By far one of my favorite neighborhood bars! The staff is great at remembering you and your regular orders. The owners are friendly and work as hard as the other staff members. Great food besides being a "dive bar" and an awesome patio! Dont forget to take a shot of the angostura bitters, they have it on tap and its tradition to start the night with one!
I ate here recently and was very pleased. They might have one of the cutest patios in Chicago. It is slightly hidden as there is no name on the front of the bar. We had the chicken dish and zucchini salad and both were great. The inside is super retro. The vibe is relaxed and friendly.
