I like it here! The vibes are good and the prices are great. I’ve been on a Tuesday for happy hour and a Thursday evening. Their happy hour is solid and 4-7p. Tacos are 3 for $11 all day on taco Tuesdays. They have a dj on the weekends and on Thursdays. It’s small similar to blind barber so u have to go early if u wanna get in hassle-free. Will def be back

Stepping into Bodega Taqueria and Tequila, nestled in the heart of Chicago's West Loop, is a bit like stumbling into a well-kept secret. From the outside, it's just a normal-lookin' taco shop, but pass through its threshold and you're transported down a mysterious hallway to a door unmarked, guarded like the secrets of a speakeasy in the Prohibition era. Behind that door, my friends, you find yourself in a sanctuary of tequila and good times.
The staff are the kind of people who know their spirits like a preacher knows his Bible. Every face wore a smile, and their warmth was as inviting as a Carolina front porch in the summer. They were like tour guides in an art exhibit, pointing out the beautiful decorations that adorned the bar.
But let's talk about the real star here - the Tequila. It took center stage like a bluegrass band at a North Carolina county fair. I had myself a Watermelon Margarita that was like a taste of Southern summer distilled into a glass. It had the vibrant hue of a Carolina sunset, and the freshness of a watermelon just sliced open on a hot July day. Each sip was a blend of sweet, juicy watermelon and the crisp, clean bite of premium tequila, balanced by a subtle citrusy tang. It was as refreshing as a cool breeze off the Smoky Mountains.
My friend decided on the Classic Margarita, a simple symphony of citrus and tequila. It had the perfect blend of sour lime and smooth tequila, shaken together to a harmonious union. Each sip was like a ray of sunshine, bright and radiant, with the tequila providing a warm, earthy undertone. It was like the perfect summer's day, distilled into a glass.
The vibe of the bar itself is a mix of old and new, kind of like a modern-day saloon meets a speakeasy. It reminded me of an old-school cigar bar, but with a twist that could only come from the minds of a modern artist. The artwork was a melange of styles so diverse, it felt as if a French museum had exploded onto the walls, with aspects of graffiti art sprinkled throughout, as if Banksy himself had made a clandestine visit.
Now, I have to admit, we didn't get around to sampling the food, but that menu, with its tantalizing array of dishes, was as tempting as a home-cooked Southern feast. We're definitely going back, and I reckon, we'll be in for a treat.
All in all, Bodega Taqueria and Tequila is a hidden gem in the West Loop, a surprise behind an unassuming door, a secret whispered only to those willing to listen. And let me tell ya, folks, this is one secret worth discovering.

Absolutely loved this spot and would highly recommend checking it out when you're in Chicago. Bodega Taqueria is a chain that I have frequented when in South Florida and I'm glad to see that they have kept up the quality when expanding outside of Florida. My recommendations include the Jalapeno Brisket Quesadilla, Tequila Cameron Taco, Short Rib Taco, and the Frozen Mango Margarita w/ a Tequila Floater. Love all the details that they have added, from the funny one-liners above the ordering counter to the neon signs in the bathroom. You definitely have to check out their speakeasy in the back that is conveniently open for most of the day. Bodega is definitely a vibe and it should be on your list.

We came on a Saturday during the day and it was super chill, so I can't rate it as a nightclub but overall we had fun.

We came and played darts and listened to the music that was on, some people were getting bottles at tables but we easily grabbed drinks at the bar and played.

Didn't try the food yet but as a bar during the day it was fun, get the Mezcal Old Fashioned.
