Nice addition to the neighborhood / NW side. Cool cocktail program happening in cozy NO TV environment. Solid eclectic musical selection. Haven't had the bites yet, but hear they are solid. Staff is super friendly and informed. Worth a trip to the neighborhood for a drink or for pre-drinks/nightcap after visiting all the great restaurants on Kedzie.
I'm not sure what the theme of Bokeh is. Dark theme coffee shop with everything IKEA but serving craft cocktails and small shared plates with hot dog stand type of kitchen in the back.
Cocktails here was pretty good, well balance of alcohol and mix. Excellent Manhattan I can say. Food was good as well. Simple not fancy well seasoning. Services are friendly and welcome. Price was reasonable for both cocktails and food.
Delightful small bar. The three of us occupied the seating area at the end of the bar. A great spot for catching up with friends. Good drinks, too.
I really wanted to come here with my most critical eye. But. Everything was so good. We tried four different cocktails—all excellent. The only thing that wasn’t absolutely AMAZING was the cheddar on the cheese board. It certainly wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t anything to write home about. But the quality of everything else was superb, so I think it deserves 5 stars. The pickles on the cheese board were thin and perfectly pickled. The broccolini was exactly what I wanted. Relaxed atmosphere. I hope to be back a lot, and I hope this place does well.
Bokeh is awesome! I’ve gone twice since they opened and have absolutely loved my experiences. They’ve somehow achieved a unique blend of class and quality while still maintaining a welcoming/friendly neighborhood feel. This area is severely lacking in contemporary spots to grab a drink with a friend or have an intimate date, and Bokeh breathes this much-needed life into the neighborhood. The drink menu is creative, affordable and delicious with drinks named after photography terminology. I asked why, and was told that the owner is a photographer, which further exemplifies the love you can tell goes into this small business. They also serve fantastic made-to-order tapas-style food on top of it all! I highly recommend checking out this special new space. It’s my new favorite spot!
