Cracked on Milwaukee

There was only one server, poor thing. He did his best but you just can't expect quick service. Also, do not get the chilaquiles here because the sauce tasted off, as if from a can left out too long. The salmon sandwich was basic but tasty, especially after asking for more cream cheese.

A few friends and I all ordered takeout from here, and we enjoyed it. This is more of a ‘hearty’ breakfast place (think burritos) than a ‘sweet-tooth’ type breakfast (like French toast or pancakes). I’m more of the sweet-tooth breakfast place, so this wasn’t my personal favorite.

I got the biscuits and gravy, and it was pretty good! 3 homemade biscuits with chorizo gravy and eggs on top. My friends ordered the French Toast Bites, which looked particularly delicious! So I’ll have to try those next.

A fun, counter serve breakfast place. They have a decent selection of burritos, sandwiches and grilled cheese. Everything is priced pretty fairly. My food tasted pretty well, my tator tots were cold though. I’ll be coming back to try a few other menu items.

I can say this is one of my low key favorite breakfast restaurants in the city. This import from Champaign never disappoints. Whether I'm grabbing one of their delicious breakfast burritos like the Dr Seuss or the Gravy Train, the build your own bowl, or some of the best biscuits and gravy in the city, I know I can never go wrong at Cracked. I've brought countless people to eat here and every single one of them raves about how fantastic it is. What are you doing? Get there now!
