D’s Roti & Trini Cuisine

The doubles are great. The roti is great, and you get lot of it. The tamarin sauce is great. My wife is from Trinidad, we have traveled there together, and this is the best thing besides traveling there to get it.

The best Roti I've had in years. The flavor was good, the roti skin was so soft and smooth on my palate.Yumm! I have to say the portions are generous. Full marks!!

#Fire all the way around. I ordered the Trini-style Chinese w 5 spice chicken & fried rice w cabbage, & doubles for an appetizer, on my carry out order at the kitchen. Cool place to wait, with a trill vending machine for drinks. Easy order on tablet, & I was greeted/thanked for me patronage. You can also order via the delivery apps as well. Finally a deco spot on the Lo End for real try meh hand food.

Finally!! An authentic Caribbean place in Chicago. And boy was it delicious! I found out about D's yesterday while trying to find dinner delivery from my phone. I ordered a few different things off the menu and I must say I was blown away. The doubles were excellently flavored. The chicken curry in the dhal puri was also impeccably seasoned and tasty. Not too many Americans will be familiar with the cow heel soup but that was also excellent.

The bake and salt fish was great as well. I especially enjoyed the bake, and could literally eat that straight without anything else and still be happy. My family cooks these types of dishes so it brought back happy memories and made my food experience even better.

I was so impressed with not just the food but the impeccable hospitality of the chef and owner. Found this restaurant on google while visiting chicago, owner and chef was so nice to heat up my food to make sure it was nice and warm because I got there late to pick up. Food was finger licking good and just reminded me of my mama’s cooking. I will definitely be back whenever I visit again #Dominica 🇩🇲
