I've previously had pastries and coffee from Edge of Sweetness at the Farmer's Market and Christmas Market in Edgewater.
I ran in for some Quiche for the first time last week. It was quick and easy. They had all the protection for Covid and things were pre-packaged. The quiche was great. Support local!

Baked products are outstanding. My favorite is the pecan sandie cookie. Excellent if you like shortbread. Brownies are an excellent choice if you like chocolate. Workers are the nicest. Special mention to Daniel and Riley. Kate, the owner, does everything to make her customers happy.

I moved to the neighborhood almost two years ago. The first morning I woke up in my new apartment I had no food in the fridge and the kitchen was still packed up. I was secretly regretting the move as I walked to the only place open at 8am, Edge of Sweetness. The owner was working when I went in and made me feel so welcomed. I bought some of the best scones of my life, and she gave me a few muffins from a recipe she was developing. She made me feel like a part of the neighborhood. I've missed the baked goods during the COVID lock down, but even more so their neighborly spirit. I went in today, as they've reopened for carry out orders, and am overwhelmed by how much I missed this place. It's like walking into your mom's kitchen if your mom was a professional baker. If you need a side of community and comfort to go with your fresh-from-the-oven cinnamon roll, come here.

Oh! My!! Word!!! I was first introduced to them through the gas station on Broadway and Hollywood and the zucchini bread was spectacular!!! I was always there late at night so I didn't even think that they had a physical location, but I went back to the gas station recently and there was no zucchini bread to be found. So I did what I always do, I asked Google to call edge of sweetness and when I spoke to them on the phone I asked them if they had a location and she said yes come on by. So I did and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the variety of offerings. I immediately went for the quiche and of course the obligatory zucchini bread. That quiche, the crust, oh my word, it was so good, so flaky, so buttery, so delicious!! The zucchini bread was as good, better than I've had before, always consistent with the flavor and the texture. But I was blown away by the quiche, especially the crust! I will be back very soon!!

I walk seven miles round-trip to this place. Not only is it worth the effort, but walking gives me an excuse to indulge in multiple treats. My favorites include brownies (sometimes they also have bags of brownie edge trimmings), ooey gooey butter cake bars (almost too rich but so good), and Grandma's crispies cookies (their other cookies are also great, but that style is unique).
