Went tonight for my birthday, food was AMAZING. Sausage & peppers and the Sunday sauce dish were especially good, plus the drinks (get the Hugo!)
The service was exceptional, and our waiter Nick was very attentive and took care of us all night. Definitely recommend!

Went to Gino and Marty’s for the first time recently. My favorite dish was the salmon bruschetta, such a fun twist on an already great classic!! Our waitress Christina was so kind and was really great with suggesting good options from the menu. Will definitely be back very soon!

I really wanted to love Gino & Marty’s because it was so cute inside. Unfortunately, this place was all hype. The bread service (pane) was the best part. We ordered the spicy gnocchi which was good but not great. It was DEFINITELY not spicy (unless your taste buds are white, then for sure it’s spicy). I added black pepper and crushed red pepper to it and it was still not that spicy. The meatballs were a little bland, but the texture was on point, and added with the whipped ricotta was a great idea because it gave some unique flavor. The lamb ravioli was honestly a waste of calories and carbs. Normally, when the food is lackluster, a restaurant makes up for it in service or experience. The service was also fairly average here. Nothing special. I really really wanted to like this place. Tried so hard but honestly, there are much better, innovative Italian spots out there. And if you want some traditional Italian food, then there are better restaurants in Chicago. I probably wouldn’t choose to go here again.

First I want to start off with the service we received was absolutely incredible. We came early to our reservation and they were able to squeeze us in. They helped us with the wine list and cocktails. The waiter was knowledgeable on the menu and wine pairings. Angel was so attentive to our table and really made our evening special.

The food was amazing the seafood was the freshest muscles and claims I’ve ever had and I am a seafood lover. The bruschetta portion size was generous.

The cocktails and atmosphere did not disappoint either. It was fun, modern and every part was on brand.

Great work to the team, genuinely felt like the right people, in the right place serving the right things.

Here’s what you need to know: food was very enjoyable, especially the vongole and the whole fish. Many changes frequently. There are some growing pains with service and some menu items were out of stock at opening bell, and the prices are high with the portions not too big. but all of that is totally understandable given the newness.

Overall, we had a really nice experience over an elegant dinner with a fun atmosphere with friends. The upstairs has a nice lounge feel and the downstairs has a high energy bar feel. Wry interesting set up.
