What an incredible experience! I've been to Guinness in Dublin so I knew not to expect a lot in Chicago, but my expectations were blown away! The experience obviously was completely different, but what was the most amazing were the friendly staff!! Upon entering the door, a gentleman working at the merchandise counter was extremely friendly and outgoing. We had a wonderful chat as I looked around, waiting for my partner to return from parking. We were seated quickly in the restaurant, which was surprisingly busy for 4:00 on a Tuesday afternoon. We chose to sit at the bar and Louis was our bartender/waiter. OMG was he AMAZING! He was very prompt to ask us what we wanted. He brought us a couple beer samples we needed to try and let us try different ones at our request as well until we found a brew to settle with. He was just wonderful and personal, and never made us feel like he had a million other people to help. He took his time with us, made us have a very special and unique experience, and remained calm cool and collected as he juggled the other people he was waiting on. I will come back a million times over just as long as Louis keeps working there! The food was also amazing. I got the Duck A Deux Udon and it was to die for. There was so much food that I was able to have it for lunch the next day too. And then of course we couldn't leave without a few souvenirs. The same gentleman who greeted me rang us up and was still very friendly and personal as he was when we came in. I wish I'd have gotten his name. Overall, I'll definitely come back. But I'm headed to Guinness in Dublin again first!

Obviously nothing compares to the Guinness Brewery in Dublin, including the Guinness itself. But outside of that, it’s a great brewery filled with unique, Chicago-inspired beers. I have NEVER tried anything like the Spicy Lemongrass Smash! I wish there better / more Irish-inspired snacks, but the pickled veggies were very tasty! A small-ish interior too (also unlike Dublin; it was too windy to sit outside). Would recommend beer lovers come here, but the Guinness itself is sadly pretty standard to anywhere else in Chicago.

Large open-air (seasonal) bar with a good selection of beer - my expectations were that they just served Guinness. The bar area is large and there are plenty of tables and booths. The menu is limited, we only had pretzels, and they were good. Large souvenir area for shirts and the like. They also have beer to go in the coolers.

From someone who went to the St James gate in Dublin, I can say that this location sure lacked the hospitality of the Irish.
I will say ordering digitally lead to minimal human interaction & servers who did interact with us were not the friendliest.
The food was good and the beer was what we would expect from Guinness.
    The service, however, was not.
Our group of 4 all agreed that we would likely not return.

First time here and the experience was great. It is an amazing ambient. Several choices are offered for beer as well as food. We had the cheese curds as well as the Brussel sprouts which were flavorful and well cooked. I will definitely come back. 1 more brewery off my check list ✔️
