Gwacamole Restaurant

We were a bit unsure seeing the small restaurant but once the food was at the table we enjoyed fully. Some in our group did not like the tortilla chips since they were thick and smelled of oil. But the warm salsa and all entrees were excellent.

My wife and I went today to check it out and they did not disappoint. Portions are healthy, taste is great, service awesome! Atmosphere very nice as well. Looking forward to the next visit. BTW, I recommend the burrito and my wife had a steak sorta that she enjoyed.

Finally - a great Mexican restaurant in Portage Park! We ordered the guacamole, red salsa (which is served warm!), sopa de fideo, bistec en salsa roja, carne asada tacos, steak fajitas and veggie enchiladas. Everything was prepared fresh (we heard them chopping up the avocado and veggies for the guacamole) and is seasoned well. The service is great and its family owned spot. A new gem in the neighborhood!

Lovely restaurant! Food was fresh and tasty with large portions. Service was super friendly.
