Where did this absolute gem of a restaurant come from? I've worked in the Loop for years and never noticed it. Yesterday I saw this little sign on the sidewalk and decided to try it. I literally just ate the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. The menu is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and the bread is spectacular (it's made fresh from scratch every day). It's family-owned and the staff is so friendly & helpful. I'm so glad I found it!
I really wanted to give this place more credit since I came in with high expectations given their 4.6 star rating. However, was really disappointed with the skimpiness of the amount of meat I had on my sandwich. I really wasn’t expecting a whole lot but seriously I could hardly taste the meat biting through the bread, which they pride themselves on and I’ll give them that. No doubt at all about their bread tasting fresh and real nice and fluffy. I think they need some work on being a little more generous on filling up the sandwich with what’s deserving for a $9 sandwich. Overall was okay but don’t think I’ll be trying it again, there’s always JJs across the street I guess
My first time visiting this place. I had the club sub without mayonnaise. One of the best, if not best subs I’ve ever had. Ingredients looked and tasted fresh. Bread was great. I’ll be back!
Finding food in downtown Chicago it’s not easy post pandemic. I stumble across the sandwich shop which is open for breakfast. I had the sausage egg and cheese croissant and it was delicious.
This is a Family business that has been around for 40 years and they have survived they are worth a stop for lunch & breakfast.
This is the best spot for a sub, everyone who works there is extremely friendly and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and well made. Their baked goods are tasty as well, you can’t go wrong with their oatmeal cookies. With work from home, I definitely miss stopping in during lunch hours.
