We have heard a lot about Lawrence fish market, So we decided to try it out. First, it is CASH ONLY. Second, The restaurant offers a variety of dishes: such as sushi, sashimi, fried fish, and grilled seafood.
The quality of the food is good. We ordered a full platter of different sushi and some sashimi. We got: Rainbow roll, Dragon roll, Godzilla roll, Crunch roll, Sumo roll, Spicy salmon roll, Texas crunch, Dreamy roll, unagi sushi & smoked sushi. They were all fresh and tasty. 🍣

Easily the best sushi I've ever had an at amazing prices. Would strongly recommend coming here instead of AYCE places if you typically eat 3 or fewer rolls. The O toro and Chu toro are incredible. Also strongly recommend the scallop sushi.

Once you eat here, its honestly hard to eat sushi/rolls anywhere else because of the great price. It's cash only and it's convenient that you can order couple more rolls. Its not a top tier, fancy sushi but a go to place for quantity, price. They are very friendly.

[CASH ONLY] I was excited to try this place based on all the great reviews, and it definitely did not disappoint. It features an extensive sushi and roll menu and serves high-quality takeout sushi with some of the lowest prices I’ve seen in Chicago— in addition to selling fish and other Asian snacks and condiments in-store. Though they only do take-out, they have some tables and seats inside so you can eat inside if you want.

I ordered the 33pc sushi tray, which came with 3 of each sushi item, from fish to egg to tofu skin. I called ahead to order on a Monday afternoon and it was ready within 20 minutes. I’d definitely recommend calling to order ahead of time on busier nights.

For $40, the sushi itself was high quality and enough for 2 people to feel full and satisfied afterwards. The fish cuts were thick and fresh— I was especially a fan of the salmon and eel. The tamago (egg) sushi was some of the best I’ve had in Chicago. I really recommend this place and would love to try an even more diverse selection of their sushi, nigiri, and rolls in the future!

Not the best quality for some of the sashimis but honestly you can’t beat the price. Rolls are decent as well.

For the sashimis I would stick with tuna and salmon and stay away from the white fish options (they were a bit fishy and chewy).
