    Great staff! Delicious Mexican bread! Decent prices and amazing tortas!!! The 3 leches cakes are really good. I highly recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth!

    He comprado pan en este lugar todos los días desde que cambio de dueño y la verdad no se cual pan prefiero todos están muy ricos y los precios mejor que en lugares donde compraba antes.

    Decided to check this place out while I was at work. This Mexican-style bakery is consistent with what you would find in the area. However, this place also offers Tortas (kind of like a sandwich) for $3.50.

    The area was clean, the sandwich was good, and they even have coffee that looks pretty fresh (when compared to a few other shops I visited).

    Definitely would go back again.

    Monarca opened recently in the space vacated by Michoacana (which moved a few hundred feet west on Montrose). I tried a variety of sweets and all were pretty good. Names and prices are labeled better than most bakeries in the area. Prices seem a bit higher, but still far below yuppie prices.
