Ramen was one of the best in Chicago. This place is a definite hidden gem.
Go-to place.
Chicago has many gimmicky Ramen places (cough furious spoon), but this is not one of them: great broth (rich and flavorful) and great ingredients. Service is great and location is cozy. Perfect for winter but great anyday of the year tbh. Quick tip: go for the extra salty option on your ramen, specially if you order it spicy. If the ramen is still not salty enough for your mcdonalds palette, the staff will be quick to provide you with extra sauce.
Great place to lay back.
I ordered Tonkostu Ramen there, and it was absolutely amazing! The broth is very rich and tasty, and I love the feature that you are able to customize your ramen. The service is also great and owners are very friendly and welcoming. Their store is clean and cute, and they provide sanitizers on the tables. I enjoyed the dine-in experience a lot, and I definitely will bring more friends to eat again there. I can’t recommend their food and hospitality enough!
Absolutely amazing! Very friendly staff with a chef who has lived and worked in Japan for over a decade! The food is very authentic (especially the curry dishes!) to the Japanese food I had when I was there and I will definitely be going again. No need to search for another ramen place, this spot is where you should go.
Dined-in, and the quality was pretty good. Ramen was solid but the broth seemed like it was missing something. Karaage was good as well. May be a little expensive for what you get, but solid nonetheless.
