Pizza Lobo

Really good wood-fired pizza with fine-dining ingredients. They have a personal pizza size too - great so everyone can get exactly what they want. Excellent frozen cocktails, especially the frozen sangria. Solid beer list. But the best part of this place is the patio - great vibe and nice and spacious with spread out tables. The staff was abiding by COVID-19 protocol and the service was excellent. I do wish they had gluten-free pizza crust, but other than that Pizza Lobo is a really good spot to hang out, have some drinks, and eat some tasty pizza.

Always happy to support local businesses and they have just opened so hiccups are expected but when i opened the box containing my pizza, slices were on top of each other and some were folded on themselves. I dont even know how that could happen the way that it did! Someone had to put the pizza in like this and think it was acceptable to serve.

Service was quick and friendly. Dined here the second day their patio was open. A small handful of Three Floyds beer on tap so no complaints there. Different wines for any palate. The pizza was great. Italian style thin crust wood fired type pizza for when you want the exact opposite of Chicago style. Definitely coming back!

The pizza here is ABSOLUTELY legit. I've spent the last year searching Chicago for a pizza with the right crisp and flavor, and this has it. No other pizza place in Chicago has come close to how perfect this crust is. This place is a MUST TRY and well worth the price. I just moved to the neighborhood, and Pizza Lobo completely blew my old regular spot out of the water.

Side benefit of a super thin and crispy crust: fast cooking. My pizza arrived at my door almost exactly 30 minutes after ordering on doordash. I can't wait to try the food fresh on the patio.

Finally another great NY style pizza! the crust was both thin, chewy, and a tiny bit charred. they use a unique cheese blend that really stood out to me. they offer creative toppings builds, but we opted to play it safe with a mushroom and garlic. 10/10 would eat again! with Dante’s nearby they really had to nail the pizza, and they did.

we also ordered the fried cauliflower, which weren’t crispy by the time they got home (not sure any pizza place on earth has a good answer for this) but were DELICIOUS. so flavorful, the accompanying aioli was a perfect companion. we got the Lobo Loco bread as well, which is an interesting cross between typical cheesy bread and a croissant - recommended. the spicy marinara it comes with is great too.

can’t speak for the patio/dine-in experience because it’s not open yet, but we’ll definitely be back once it opens! very stoked to have more great pizza in the neighborhood.
