Plant Based Junkie

This was my first time buying food from here. The presentation of the food was fine. The nacho dish I tried. It wasn’t very filling although there are fresh ingredients on it. I added the meat . There were more nachos than anything else In the dish which can feel disappointing when you want to have a filling lunch. I found myself searching for the meat. The tomatoes and avocados were good. The meat wasn’t enough at all . I have tried nachos dishes at different vegan places and what makes a difference is having a filling meal. There should be cheese added on top too more. There definitely needs to be more meat added or else it feels more like an appetizer. I don’t know how many scoops of the meat are added but honestly, I would rather have the plant based meat added knowing that it will be more filling, I did not want to buy the plain nachos either for lunch . Nachos should be layered and have an equally amount of the toppings that are going to make it count. Otherwise this is really an appetizer. I support black owned businesses and I feel if I were the chef I would make the nacho dishes stand out more especially for people who love nachos. Also make sure the nacho meat is hotter in terms of temperature. Great presentation and the container is perfect. For the price of the dish just make it overall worth the price.

I had a wonderful experience at this establishment, the staff here was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I ordered the junkie nachos and they were delicious and reasonably price. I definitely will be returning and I recommend that you give this place a try! It’s nice to have a restaurant in the area that caters to people who are vegan/ vegetarian or interested in the vegan/ vegetarian lifestyle. ????

My wife and I stopped into this establishment on a Saturday afternoon. Although a bit crowded we were greeted with a smile, and professionalism by the front of the house staff. Intrigued by the menu we both decided upon the Filthy Philly and cheese fry. These items were phenomenal!!! Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was top notch. I will definitely return and recommend to friends and colleagues.

After Facebook creeping this place until they finally opened, i was ecstatic when the weekend after i was finally able to go with my fiance! We already knew what we were going to get, and everything was DELICIOUS! My fiance hates vegan cheese, but we had the vegan cheese with the nachos, and she LOVED it! I had the Wilding Out Brat, and it was perfection...the grilled onions were a beautiful combo to the peppers on top of the vegan 'meat' that was the brat. My fiance had the Hot Mess, a very creative vegan burger, and she LOVED it. We were skeptical but excited and hopeful, and glad we were because it did not let us down. Only a 15min drive from the suburbs, and we will indefinitely be back! I love small businesses, and love such a passionate and delicious one at that! WE..WILL..BE..BACK!!!

Absolutely love the food! The south side needs more restaurants like this one. Will definitely be coming back.
