Tobias has created a magical place to create great memories.

From good food, great conversation (when they are not busy), with the backdrop of a beach on Lake Michigan.

Tobias has created a vegetarian chili dog that my whole family loved. We could not tell the chili was vegetarian. Tobias told us he perfected his recipes when he cooked vegan.

If you look through my past reviews you will find I am very stingy with five stars due to many variables.

However, when I realized how many fond summer memories I have made with my family here; I realize what Tobias and his team have really created.

I used to work at Levy restaurants in their it department. I had many projects at various sites. I would often talk with the chefs and the kitchen team.

One of the great chefs told me the secret to a successful venue was the atmosphere and creating a space where GREAT memories can be made.

So in addition to exceptional culinary skills is the atmosphere created by the space and staff, much like what Disney World achieved with Tiffins.

This is what Tobias and team have humbly achieved.

The team and Tobias will even create things of menu.

When you go to Ropa Cabana, bring your loved ones or a large group of friends and create some joyous memories on the lake front.

Hot dogs were fantastic and the slushes are amazing. Does cost a bit but what else could you ask from a small business on the beach. New favorite spot!

Great new place for tasty quick snacks, coffee to warm you up and drinks to cool you down. Try the shaved ice and ask for it with cherry and Limeade aka The Laz! Delicious! Friendly owners and polite staff. Credit cards or cash. Perfect for the beach.

This beachside bar is fabulous: great shave ice; several kinds of tasty hot dogs; terrific coffee, espresso and pastries. Service is quick and very pleasant. Lots of snacks for kids. And prices are really inexpensive.
