Absolutely delicious steak tacos!! Hands down one of my favorite places for Mexican food. Loved the blue corn ones- rarely do you get to see blue corn tortillas being used in tacos at all, so this was a pleasant surprise! The fresh guacamole and crunchy chips were delicious and fresh as well. The meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and all the fresh ingredients (chopped purple onions, cilantro, pineapple (!), etc.) were perfectly balanced and proportioned. Outstanding job! Will come back again! 😋
I realized Salud Kitchen was a new Mexican restaurant only 3 blocks away from me after finding one of their flyers at my doorstep. I decided to give them a try because the menu looked soooo good. Let's just say.. I'm so excited to have this gem of a restaurant in my neighborhood. I'm a big foodie and I can honestly say that it's some of the best Mexican food I've had. On top of that the owner Michael was pretty cool and I'm excited for the vision he has with this new restaurant. Definitely recommend!
Wow! Food tasted great. Definitely want to come back and try all the different tacos on the menu. Had the Birria tacos which hit the spot.
Good to have a new restaurant in the area, especially one that has amazing food!
This place is small but adorable. The staff is extremely friendly and they have delicious fish and chicken tinga tacos!! The chef was able to cater and make taco lettuce wraps for me which are phenomenal substitutes if you want to eat less calories but flavorful food 🙂 Highly recommend if you live in the Portage Park/Jefferson Park area!
Wow! Everything about this place is fabulous. The staff, the variety of choices, the prices--but the real star? The food! Traditional Mexican fare, or so the menu kind of sounds, until you taste it. Seriously. It is so incredibly beyond. Try it and you will understand.
