Great place for food at a decent price. Service and attitude for the staff of very good, but they are understaffed. My food took a little longer than normal and the cashier realized this and gave me a free drink while I waited (really great customer service). They are open to 8PM for the sitdown portion of the restaurant, but open to 2AM for pickup across the parking lot. I will visit here again and try additional items.
The reviews are mixed here but it was super good late night food. The hot dog they make was delicious and they don’t skimp out on the cheese and fries. The Al pastor tacos were flavorful and the salsa they have are spicy and good.
We were told this place had good tacos and also Ramen in their own broth that is so delicious. The Tacos were amazing and our waitress Paulina was so Attentive, Nice and remembered 4 different orders WithOut writing it down and got it all right! That's one smart young lady. The place was nice and clean and everyone was very nice. It is small and gets packed quick, but it's worth the wait.
When I'm back in Chicago, I'm definitely going back.
Food was delicious! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and service was fast. Only thing I didn't like was a sewage smell coming from the bathroom area. Will definitely be back!
I stopped by their late night take out stand which is located directly behind the restaurant. I posted pics of the food and receipt. The pros: the 2 volcan I ordered were good (adobado and carne asada). Volcan is basically a toasted tortilla with meat on top, this volcan has a tortilla added on top. At $5.89 each perhaps it was a tad overpriced? The adobado aka al pastor was juicy and very flavorful. The carne asada was okay, but it was nothing memorable. They had a good amount of meat and cebolla and cilantro. The cons: $4 bottle of Mexican coke… why? 4% credit card fee? Why? According to Forbes the average credit card processing fee ranges between 1.5% and 3.5% for 2023.
This place seems like a higher end/bougie taqueria. Which I feel is a little too expensive for little village. The average median household income is $39k, which is $30k lower than the national average.
I’m sure they’ll get many peep visiting from other areas. I probably won’t be visiting them any time soon.
