Compliments to the chef, his sister, his best friend, his pastor, and anybody else who influenced him in preparing our sushi. The sushi brought out our inner kid like on Christmas morning, to the point where every bite was like opening up that toy you wanted all year. Their organization and protocols that respect our current pandemic were as smooth and effortless like building an IKEA dresser. The attention from multiple servers checking in on our experience were equivalent to a significant other who can’t stop messaging you. If you do not experience Tanoshii Sushi , consider yourself warned, you’re missing out on life!
There rolls exceeded my standards. So did the calamari! Everything, honestly! Along with the drink! Guys, for sure my favorite spot. The service is great too!
Hands down the BEST sushi restaurant in all of IL! We drive down all the way from the northern suburbs because not only is the food amazing, fresh and always of the best quality but so is the service! We have never been disappointed and would highly recommend Tanoshii to all sushi lovers and non-sushi lovers out there!
Best sushi I've had in Chicago by miles. Of note, the specialty rolls were inventive enough to be a unique experience without detracting from the subtle flavors of the fish itself. Omakase was amazing and we're looking forward to trying what they have to offer on the menu next time.
Tanoshii has great fresh fish options if you’re into it. The fish and chips is amazing. Their non-traditional take on the rolls is something worth trying where the chef takes some creative liberty and uses ingredients that are rarely used in sushi rolls. We went for the full omakase with chef’s recommendations. While the flavors hit the right marks, it would’ve been nice to have a bit more variety in the rolls.
