TAO Chicago

Really enjoyed my dining experience on our visit there. It's like high end Asian fare, I'm not familiar with Asian cuisine so I don't remember exactly what I ordered but the food was really delicious. The entree servings were large so we shared our dishes among the three of us. The appetizers were excellent and the desserts were awesome. I definitely will return again. We went during the week so the crowd was small which was nice and made for a tranquil evening.

Fun to experience but probably won’t return. Definitely a high energy nightclub with good music and a fun crowd, but you’ll spend a nice penny between cover and drinks. Paid $40 to get in on a Friday night which is expected, a vodka water was $18. Get there early if you don’t have tickets or else the line is atrocious. Pretty empty upon opening but gets insanely crowded come 11-midnight.

Outstanding private event space. Great drinks and small bites. Fantastic DJ and 5 performance actors. And everyone needed to show proof of vaccination. WELL DONE

Food was quite good. Only part that was sad is that at on time we waited over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Also good was coming out very slow. For these prices and type of place you would expect better service for sure. Our group was 9 people so we did spend close to $900.00 at the end of the day in total.

Phillipe, our server, was attentive. Food was good. Rainbow roll @$32 is overpriced but edible after requesting spicy mayo. Thai shrimp were excellent. The building is beautiful. That alone is worth a night out at Tao. Take a smartphone for paying. You have to go online to pay with a Credit card once they provide an order number. Then no receipt is offered. A $70 hold was placed on the credit card when we made the reservation, then deducted from the final bill. Not pleasant checking out.
