THE LICKING CHICAGO

The food was good, not great. TP our waitress was excellent! She is the only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars. When we first arrived no one was at the hostess booth to greet us. With no one waiting in front of us, 10 minutes later we were seated. They have several items on the menu that are not even offered at the Chicago location. I thought that was very misleading. The Mystery Drink was good. I did not care for the Pigeon Peas and Rice. They have no bread of any kind on the menu. They did have security in their small parking lot. Overall it was a decent visit but I won't be returning anytime soon.

great experience! food was delicious server was great ! i would highly recommend. I drove all the way from Milwaukee and was not disappointed in the food.

We loved our visit! Our waitress TP was amazing! She knew the menu, had recommendations, was personable yet professional.

It’s exactly what the community needs: a spot for us to sit down and eat GOOD healthy options. I like that it’s not limited to “traditional soul food”. We will definitely be back to try some of everything on the menu.

The only way to change the way our neighborhoods look is to support the good business that open so that other good businesses will open up too.

I love the food portion was on point . My wife had grilled chicken, green and Mac good, I had fried snapper veggie rice and mac that was also good.. the waitress bryanna fine as hell with good service.. it was a slow night but I will definitely come back again..

Karen was the host during my visit (gorgeous by the way) and Akemia was my service (awesome and beautiful as well). Michelle is one the cooks. The food was awesome and the ambiance was fabulous. They have a private room that I will be using for a celebration in the future. I order the baked chicken dinner and it was delicious! I see myself becoming a regular here!
