The Loyalist

Finally made it to this establishment to see why this place was voted one of the best burgers in the US, I went with a few friends they ordered appetizers I didn't one had deviled eggs which he said were outstanding. 2 of them ordered mussels which they said were amazing, as for me I wanted to try the Loyalist burger which was but to be voted one of the best burgers in the US yeah no not at all I've had better. They gave you sides so you can either dip your fries or an oil to add on to your burger I just kept on dipping the fries on the oil and I think the other side was mayo mixed with ketchup I think both sides were great. Afterwards I believe the manager came by and handed us some chocolate chip cookies as desert we got one big cookie in a aluminum foil bag, the cookie was amazing nice big size which I enjoyed all of my friends that I went with they enjoyed the cookie they said that it was an outstanding cookie. But yeah the Loyalist burger was not bad it was decent would I go back again yeah sure why not I would take other friends there just for them to try the burger.

Went there for dinner this evening. I thought a few of the dishes were excellent. The rest average. Twice I had to ask them to slow down the pace of the meal. They were in a hurry.
We did the wine pairing (least expensive one) at $290 for two plus tax and tip. They gave a small tasting of wine and every time they were pouring the next glass before we were even halfway finished with the previous one.
We were barely finished with a food course and the next one was out.
Again, literally twice asked them to slow the pace yet they never did. Not tolerable for a $1200 meal. No excuse. I think for that much money, every course also needs to be fantastic . This was not. Restaurant is nice but nothing over the top.
Also, I tip nicely but I like to decide for myself. They added the tip themselves.
Would not go back.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Chicago. The food is absolutely amazing. The burger was our favorite, it was so good that I had to remind myself to breathe about halfway through devouring it. It was so juicy. 😋

I would and have recommend this burger to pretty much everyone I know.

Julia took care of my crew at the Loyalist. We were seated in a low lit room on very comfortable furniture- the ambiance was unmatched. I felt like I was enjoying my company in the comfort of my own home (without the stress that comes with hosting). The service was attentive and refreshing. We ordered cocktails, my old fashioned was crafted just how I like. We shared a few plates; the famous cheeseburger, lavender infused eclair and a deconstructed French onion eclair. The burger came with what I recall was a black pepper infused truffle oil paired perfectly with two different dipping sauces. I would go back for the fries alone, but the service and cocktails provided for a unique experience, which entice me to come back for more. To the Loyalist team and, more specifically, Julia, a job well done!
