This place is a grocery store and has a small but quality halal meat section, as well as a small Turkish bakery section boasts sorts of Baklavas. Chef Hüseyin made Maklube, a traditional Turkish meat dish, for the dinner. It was delicious!!! Highly recommend if you’re looking for Halal meat, Turkish groceries and bakery.”

“I was at "The River" for a friend's 50 Birthday Sunday Drag Brunch. The entertainment was top notch, They Gave Hunny"!!! Although the aisle space was limited they worked it. It was pride parade day so the place was packed. The Brunch menu was super scrumptious with a nice variety. The bottomless Mimosas were quite good as well. The parking was surprisingly easy to find with a little walking or maybe I was just lucky.”

“I'm from out of town, thought I would try more Chicago's food. This was next door to where I'm staying, and it's really good. Nice service and atmosphere. I forgot to request light sauce on the slider because sauces tends to mask other flavors of the food, like the meat or crisp lettuce and juicy tomato. It's only 4 stars because I want to try other stuff on their menu like their onion rings, chicken burgers and other dogs & sliders. I do recommend this place to try.”

“Came for a Drag Brunch. Very interesting layout. From my experience there is a stage and everyone is able to watch, this Drag Brunch gave very limited view. Out of 2 hours, we got maybe 5 minutes of a show from our booth. They were beautiful and put on a good show, it’s just the layout of the restaurant that makes it difficult. The food was wonderful and the service was great. The bouncer went off on pretty much everyone. I understand there has to be rules but you would think Queen Elizabeth was in the building by how he treated every person that walked through the door.”

“We had such a great experience today! Staff was so inviting, friendly, and kind :) We got the pork rice bowl which was extremely delicious, with pita and mint yogurt dipping. The dessert was a must have, fried donut balls with home made frozen yogurt, honey and cinnamon sugar. Easy to order from QR code at the table and they bring you the food. The dishes were sublime and novel interpretations on Latin-fusion dishes. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and our server explained the cultural origins of each dish. “I am extremely surprised this place did not have more business when my partner and I stopped in on a late Friday afternoon. As our first time, we opted to try their shake of the month, apple pie (and made it boozy for just an extra $5), which our waiter was kind enough to split into 2 glasses and enjoyed a plate of their fried okra and pickles, the #7 burger, and the Wisconsin cheese fries. As a fried pickle lover, I was EXTREMELY pleased with how delicious their fried pickles were! Would definitely recommend. The burger was extremely large and a good value for the price. I would say my only complaint came with the fried being a bit over cooked. Overall the experience was extremely nice and I wish I would’ve caught our waiters name who was overtly nice and helpful. Definitely worth the price and will be back!”

“Overall we liked this spot. Sat in their outside seating. They had just opened the month before so the service was still trying to coalesce, it was a little bumpy. Everyone was very friendly. The food was pretty good. I had the lobster roll, honestly I think I like Hampton Social roll better. This one had more slaw flavor than lobster. The crab cake sandwich was good. The tartare was delicious and the oysters were good. We had the sodas and those were very good.”
