One of the original "floating sushi" places, this restaurant has been here for years. Under new ownership as of 4 or 5 years ago, but still serves all the same fantastic foods and also expands upon things that work. (Plus it helps that the owner sold to a family willing to keep much of the menu / working order the same) Why change a thing if it's not broken, right?
I used to like Sushi Station, but this place is more "consumer friendly". Have a thought about something you'd like to order but don't see it on a sushi boat? Ask one of the sushi chefs and they will prepare it for you. They are very fair about pricing as well, since pricing mostly has to do with the type of fish being used and not with your custom ask.
Another thing about this place is that many of the servers and teppan yaki guys have been there for YEARS. That sort of loyalty tells me that there's a reason why they stay. it's also part of the reason why we keep coming back for more.
I should also add that the steakhouse side is one of the best in the area. If you guys like the fluff and over-charged prices at Benihana, I guess that's your thing and you should keep going there. But if you want something "more affordable" but still get great quality foods / portions / customer service... try them out. I can promise you won't be let down.
(From the parking lot, the left door (south entrance) is the sushi side and the right door (north entrance) is the steakhouse side.
Amazing experience. Great food and service as well
The sushi was very fresh and tasty. Service was fantastic. Looking forward to my next visit with friends!
I have literally been coming here my entire life. My parents started out bringing me here when I was a toddler because of how convenient it was to get a quick bite. Now I am still going 30 years later with my friends and family. They have always had great food and incredible service. By far one of my favorite Japanese steakhouses and sushi bars in the Chicagoland area.
We always have alot of fun there! Great entertainment in front of you while they are making your food! They also have vegetarian dishes!
