Good tacos! Creative ingredients that run true to authentic Mexican flavors. I like the three-taco entree, which comes with Mexican rice and a choice of pinto or black beans. (I recommend the duck and pork chorizo, the chicken mole, and the smoked brisket.) Taco choices will please both carnivores and vegetarians. The rice and black beans are suitable for the latter. Most of the tacos and the pinto beans have a little kick to them. Vegetarians should note that the potato taco is particularly spicy.
Try the desserts, too. The lemon curd is cool and refreshing and an excellent conclusion to the meal. I also like the whiskey bread pudding made with horchata and served warm with caramel sauce. Our waitress was efficient and attentive, and the kitchen staff brought our food out in good time. Plan to dine alone? The devil masks on the walls will give you plenty of infernal company.????
Looking for a great place and delicious food, look no further. Awesome selection of tequila is a bonus. Nicely done.
This place is located in downtown Evanston, Illinois. The tacos are pretty good and the service is quick. Although the 3 tacos combo plate with black beans or pintos and rice is kind of expensive at $17 and some change I would still recommend this place and visit again myself.
Love this place ... the have about 12 tacos to choose from, and they’re all delicious. I get a different set of 3 every time. My wife is stuck on the also delicious Torta. For dessert, we used to love their bread pudding, but it ain’t what it used to be so we can no longer recommend it; dessert menu needs a refresh.
Great assortment of very flavorful tacos and good service too. More than just a taco stand. The enchiladas are great here too.
