    Very good, but feels very small.

    Portions are good sized and the coffee isn't that burnt stuff that's become popular in other places.

    Northfield serves typical diner fare, and in a rare move, leads the menu off with lunch food instead of breakfast items (back page).

    At peak, you'll wait about 15-20 minutes to get a table. The knock on this place is that there's really no place to wait where you're not in the way.

    The wait staff know everyone who comes in, a sign that there are many regulars.

    I've been a regular since 2003. I've moved now, but I still try to stop in whenever I'm in town. Lovely place, great food. A throwback to the old Greek-owned charcoal grill/diner joints that used to be Chicago's calling card. Highly recommended.

    This is a very popular place for breakfast; it used to be my go-to place for dinner, but I got tired of the poor service and haven't attended in several months. Will probably try again on a few weeks, be disappointed, and abstain for a few more months.

    I love this place. Ever since I started having my meals here, I have always enjoyed very nice foods that are professionally prepared. Highly recommended this local restaurant!.

    Good food. Friendly staff. Some of the better gluten free pancakes that I have eaten. It is a bit pricey for diner food, but not too bad.
