We tried Crosby kitchen for a night out with friends. I guess I would actually give more of a 3.5 then a 3 stars but that’s not an option. Service and staff are excellent. Atmosphere was very cool and love how they remodeled. My issue was more with the food. First off we had the deviled lobster eggs. They were good but come 3 to an order. They are halved eggs which if u cut an egg in half u get 2 halves which would make sense to have 4 per order. We had four people so we asked for another egg to be added, it just didn’t make sense the odd number in the first place. Secondly they ran out of one of their signature drinks. It was only 7pm on a Friday. You only have 4 signature drinks, was disappointing you ran out of one of them, especially after being offered it. And lastly one person in our party ordered the pasta, which was more of a lunch size portion than a dinner portion. It didn’t even fill the dish it was served in. The restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood and it just opened so maybe these are just suggestions to consider. I’d maybe give it another try to sit outside on the patio which looked very cozy and relaxing.
I think that the 4 Star team did a great job here and I’ve been here twice now. The crab cake was amazing and is one of my favorites in the city.
The food is fresh and the service is great. I personally enjoy that they have local kids working here and gaining experience. It’s a breath of fresh air to see people enjoy their jobs which is a sign that there are great people running this establishment.
It was 645pm on a Friday night, and we had no reservations. We were told there would be a 30-45 min wait, but less than 10 minutes later, we were seated. The decor was well done, updated, and casual. I sat on the cushy bench while my hubby sat on the chair. I had the view of the bar and the baseball game on TV. Read a few reviews and noticed a trend with the crab cakes, so I had to try it. I'm not a fan of Cole Slaw, so I asked to replace it with a garden salad. It's true that the cakes have lots of crabs; there were chunks. The replacement garden salad had just the right amount of dressing and included bacon. It's a good thing I like bacon because she never asked. Maybe it's because I also ordered the Mac and cheese, which also had bacon. Bacon makes everything taste better! My husband had the salmon with asparagus, and there were no complaints from him. The prickly pear margarita I had was delicious, too. Almost forgot about the Tempura Rock Shrimp - perfect crispiness and flavor. My husband and I went here for date night but saw several tables with kids. I found out they had a kids 6 next time, I'm bringing my kid. I'm glad they found a great restaurant to add to this corner spot.
Great patio, staff was nice. Got the Prime Rib and mashed potatoes but came out okinda cold bit good flavor. Well, give it another shot.
Enjoyed the rotisserie chicken dinner. Bartenders were engaging and attentive. What shocked me were the items on my bill. They charged $3.00 per drink for "rocks". Surcharge for ice cubes! The last item was the ever present hidden "surcharge" of 3 per cent. This wasn't mentioned on the menu unless I missed it. We'll have to rethink visiting again.
