The best part is BYOB. Not a rite place for romantic dinner. The food is good. If you don't want to spend that much money, look for their special of the month.

This place is amazing! A hidden gem, that’s for sure. Waitstaff was polite, food was fresh and delicious, parking was easy ... everything was just fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!

If you're craving some shrimps and crab the BOILER is the place to go. They have a unique and delicious sauces to go with your food all in one bag. I was very satisfied with the taste of the food and for a very good reasonable price. And yes maybe the presentation of the food might not be the best in a bag. But nonetheless, these people knew how ridiculously good and messy it can be eating sea food with. That's why they give you a bag and paper to cover the table for no inconvienece. It Is really worth a try !

This place is conveniently located in Skokie, Ill. I dined in on a Thursday evening and it wasn't crowded at all. The service was okay, kind of slow but okay. I had the half pound of King Crab Legs w/ potatoes and corn ($25) and lemon pepper chicken wings($6.99) for the appetizer. The crab legs were over boiled and very soggy which made them hard to crack open. This was my first time going there but I will try it again in the future in hopes of a better eating experience and better food.

This place is the King of Shrimp & Crawfish. If you love seafood, this is the place to go. There is truly something for everyone, even those not in the mood for seafood.

Menu items during this visit were:
-Fried Catfish Basket w/Cajun & lemon pepper seasoning
-Fried Shrimp Basket w/Cajun & lemon pepper seasoning
-2 Corn on the cob w/trifecta
-Desert Pear Lemonade (delicious, refreshing and delightful)

Everything that is fried at The Boiler Shrimp & Crawfish is fried properly (not oily), perfectly seasoned, crispy and extremely fresh. Stop by and get the "low" down on this great low country food spot.

Note: The "fried basket" items are best if you dine in. Carryout results in the food steaming in the container, which compromises the delicious crisp crust and crunch. Dine in, if possible.
